Mood Atlas is built around anonymous check-ins. Here's exactly what that means.

What we collect

When you check in, we store the mood you picked, the city you selected, an optional short note, and a timestamp. That's it — there's no account to create and no name or contact detail attached to a check-in.

What we don't collect

Anonymous notes

Notes are free text, so please avoid including anything identifying in them. Notes are reviewed against our moderation guidelines and may be removed if they violate them.

Paid boosts

If you use a paid boost (pin, glow, extra note, or sending support), we only log that the boost happened — never any payment details beyond what your payment provider needs to process the charge. Boosts never change the underlying mood statistics shown on the map.

Contact form

If you reach out through our contact page, we store your name, email, and message so we can reply to you. That information is kept separately from anonymous mood check-ins.

Questions

If you have questions about this policy, get in touch — we're happy to explain anything in more detail.
